About Me

My photo
I live in the Pacific NW with my husband, our 85 pound black lab and the newest member of our family our adorable little boy! I love to cook, stick my hands in the dirt and grow veggies and flowers, etc., craft for gift giving, repurpose things from my grandmother, find a cozy corner and curl up with a good book, and most of all hang out with my boys and our furry one.

Top 5 for the first 5

So here is my list of the top five things that I loved for the first 5 weeks with Lil J.

Aden+Anais
1.  Bibs!  These were a gift and I LOVE them.   They will be my present to any new mom moving forward.   They are big enough to cover well and then you can unsnap and put it in on your shoulder for a birp cloth and the wash great as well - get softer with every wash.

Swing!
2.  The Swing!  This is a big time sanity saver.    It has served many purposes and actually as I write this Lil' J is swinging away and sleeping peacefully in it.  Its great that the toys come off - he isn't big enough to really appreciate those yet so its nice to be able to snap them off

target tanks
3.  Nursing tanks are a must!   A friend had warned me about them and she was right.  I pretty much live in them day and night.   They can be expensive but I love the ones I got at Target on sale.   I can wear this alone or under things.

Boon
4.  Drying Rack  This is a something that is in constant use on the counter.  When I wash bottles and pump stuff it is the perfect place for stuff to drain and dry.   Thinking I can use it later as well for other things.   Much cuter than a normal bottle drying rack.

5.  Blankets   And last but not least are the homemade blankets that we have received.   My mom made some great ones that are soft and small and perfect for a variety of things.   We use them in the swing and car seat or just for something small and cuddly to wrap around him while we hold him.   Also, others have made some great bigger blankets that are great for floor blankets now that we love to just lay on our back and talk and we don't even mind tummy time

And the journey continues!
